Chanel - Teint Innocence Foundation

Chanel-teint-innocence

Introduction

Teint Innocence is one of Chanel's latest foundations and comes in a fluid or cream format. Chanel market the makeup to leave your skin with the radiance and softness it had as a child. We tried the fluid version...

Who's it for

Those wanting a light, natural coverage with normal to combination skin types. It comes in a fluid format best for normal to dry skin types and a cream compact best for combination skin types, depending on your preference.

Science

The foundation is packed with skin-loving vitamins F, E and B5 which protect the skin from environmental stresses. An SPF 12 (for the fluid) and SPF 10 (for the cream) shield the skin from the sun's harmful rays. Further hydrating ingredients keep the skin feeling comfortable and looking fresh. Shimmering pigments help add luminosity to the skin while concealing imperfections.

Our trial

Teint Innocence is a soft, velvety fluid foundation which is easy to apply whether using a foundation brush or not. A little goes a long way which means that you won't have to buy a replacement foundation too often. Although it gives a sheer-coverage on first coat, coverage can be built up with repeated coats. Once applied skin felt comfortable and looked radiantly flawless. It concealed patches of uneven skin tone.

If you have slightly dry skin, you should exfoliate before applying the foundation as flaky patches will show. Concealer is only required for dark circles and spots. Skin stays looking flawless for about 4 – 6 hours depending on your skin type. If you have combination skin with a slight shine in the T-zone, apply a light coverage of powder to help matify your skin and make the foundation look flawless for longer; the cream version of Teint Innocence may also be better suited to you. We would not recommend this foundation for very dry or oily skin types or mature skins.

Price and Packaging

Teint Innocence foundation comes in a range of  6 colours which a Chanel beauty adviser can match for you. Its RRP is £29.

The packaging is playful -- a rounded, simple glass bottle reflects this product's youthful nature and name. Yet being made of beautiful glass, the bottle still oozes the sophistication so synonymous with Chanel.

Verdict

This is a gorgeous foundation which leaves skin looking luminous, fresh and angelic with an even complexion.
